After immigrating from the UK in 1984, Jason matriculated in Johannesburg and completed his national service at the SADF Spyseniers Catering School. He went on to study at the renowned 3 Cities Carlton Hotel and spent eight years working in fine boutique hotels, golf lodges, and senior management roles within some of South Africa’s top catering companies.

Drawing on this real-world industry knowledge, Jason recognised the gap for a recruiter who could identify the true dynamics between employers and candidates — creating placements built on understanding, synergy, and long-term success. The result was the birth of Hospitality Placements, which quickly became a trusted name in the industry.
