Overview

Based in Northern Italy in a small rural town an hour from Milan, this is a new upmarket restaurant and retail concept, which the gardener will provide product for and liaise with.

You will have the freedom to plant almost anything, and to experiment alongside the need for specific products like tomato, onion, celery, lettuce, strawberries, carrots etc – the aim is organic.

Salary will be competitive for the right applicant, including small profit share on retail sales; generous leave

  • Long hours/some weekend work expected
  • Knowledge of mushroom farming an advantage
  • Planning and planting crops, including crop rotation
  • Land, soil and crop management and maintenance,
  • Staff supervision
  • Greenhouses, growing tunnels, fruit trees, flowers
  • General garden maintenance in keeping with the visual impact of a fine dining set up
  • Packing of product for the retail outlet
  • Liaising with other growers in the area
  • Transport and assistance with visa applications will be provided
  • Assistance with accommodation will be considered subject to number of people
