Non-BEE required for a leading food services company.
Looking for a creative Chef to inspire product development and responsible for food development strategy, food innovation and food concept implementation.
Exceptional culinary skills
A high degree of artistic flair and creativity
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the food development role
Culinary Degree or equal work experience and on-the-job training at a reputable restaurant or catering company
Ability to travel in Gauteng (day trips)
Knowledge of menu development, recipe creation and interpretation skills
Strong knowledge of international cuisine
Experienced in food purchasing, organization and logistics
Strong culinary techniques, flavour delivery and menu creation processes with an understanding of global cuisine influence on modern cooking
Participate in ideation sessions and offer insightful menu offerings
Use food trends to support developing menu items for our various consumer segments
Identify innovation opportunities and lead menu development initiatives in support of our nutrition health and wellness propositions
Assist with development/execution of a menu strategy aligned with costing framework
Prepare, present and showcase menu items for our client
